Badimia multiseptata is a species of lichen in the family Ramalinaceae.[1] Found exclusively in lowland rainforest environments of Thailand, it was described as new to science in 2011 by Khwanruan Papong and Robert Lücking. It is characterized by its vividly coloured apothecia and unique, campylidioid conidiomata.
Badimia multiseptata was first described by lichenologists Khwanruan Papong and Robert Lücking as a new species discovered in Thailand's Khao Yai National Park in December 2005. The species epithet multiseptata refers to the multiseptate ascospores (i.e., with many internal partitions, or septa), which distinguish this species from other members of the genus.[2]
