Bakdash (Arabic: بَكْدَاش, romanized: Bakdāš), alternatively romanised as Bakdach, is a landmark ice cream parlor in the Al-Hamidiyah Souq in the ancient city of Damascus.[3][2] Established in 1885, it is famous for its traditional Middle Eastern booza—a mastic frozen dairy dessert.[2][1] It is noted around the Arab world and has become a popular tourist attraction.[1]

A second branch opened in Amman, Jordan in 2013.[2] Branches unaffiliated with the original founders also opened neighboring countries, sometimes with their permission.[4]
