Bartini (Portland, Oregon)

Bartini operated in northwest Portland's Northwest District. The interior had chandeliers, paintings of goldfish in martini glasses,^[4] white booths, and a wall of mirrors.^[5] The bar served approximately 100 martini varieties.^[6][7] Among drinks was the French Kiss Martini, which had champagne, puréed strawberries, and vodka,^[8] and the Herbal Remedy, which had Belvedere vodka, yellow Chartreuse, green tea, lemon, Prosecco, and star anise.^[9] Others were Blackberry Lemon Drop,^[10] the Mojitotini, the Thin Mint Cookie martini, and the Zesty Cucumber. The food menu included small plates such as a cheeseburger, gorgonzola-brie fondue,^[11] chips and guacamole, corn dogs,^[12] and mashed potatoes.^[13]

Bartini opened in 2003.^[14] It was operated by Urban Restaurant Group, which has also owned Brix Tavern, Carlita's,^[15][16] Fuller's Coffee Shop,^[17] and Swank and Swine.^[18][19] Bartini was described as the "sibling lounge" of Urban Fondue.^[20] The general manager of Bartini and Urban Fondue died in 2024.^[21] Both businesses closed permanently in February 2026.^[22][23][24]

Bartini received honorable mention and ranked third in the Best Happy Hour category of Willamette Week's annual Best of Portland readers' poll in 2015 and 2017, respectively.^[25][26]
