Basavraj Madhavrao Patil is a member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represents the Ausa Assembly Constituency. He was belonging to the Indian National Congress[1] coming from Lingayat community. He was one of standing ministers who lost the election in 2004 to Ravindra Vishvanath Gaikwad. He also lost the 2019 election to new entrant Abhimanyu Pawar. On 26 February 2024 he resigned as primary member of The Indian National Congress (INC).[2][3][4][5]
