Bassum (German pronunciation: [ˈbasʊm] ⓘ; Northern Low Saxon: Bassen) is a town in the district of Diepholz, Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 35 km northeast of Diepholz, and 25 km south of Bremen.
