Bernie Arthur Winkler (December 5, 1925 – June 28, 1990) was an American professional football player who played at the tackle position. He played college football for Millsaps and Texas Tech and professional football for the Los Angeles Dons.
Winkler was born in 1925 in The Grove, Texas. He attended and played football at Temple High School in Temple, Texas.[1]
Military and college football
He played college football for Millsaps in 1944 and for Texas Tech in 1943, 1945, 1946, and 1947.[1] He was an All-Border Conference player for two seasons.[2] He also served in the United States Navy.[1]
