Beslan Mudranov

Beslan Zaudinovich Mudranov (Russian: Беслан Заудинович Мудранов; born 7 July 1986) (Circassian: Мудран Беслъэн) is a Russian judoka (since 2008) and former Sambo wrestler (2003–2008) of Circassian descent.[1] He won the Olympic gold medal in the Men's –60 kg judo event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He also won three gold medals at European level, in 2012, 2014 and 2015.
Beslan won gold medals in the –60 kg category at the European Judo Championships in 2012, 2014 and 2015. For 2015's win he received two gold medals, as the event served the purpose of the European Games as well as the European Judo Championships.[2] His coach is Rudolf Mikhailovich Baboyan.[3][4]
On the first day of the 2016 Summer Olympics, Beslan earned Russia's first gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in the –60 kg division. In the final he defeated Yeldos Smetov from Kazakhstan in just 44 seconds.[5][6]
