Bill Moen

American politician (born 1986) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

William F. Moen Jr. (born November 14, 1986) is an American Democratic Party politician from Camden, who has represented the 5th Legislative District in the New Jersey General Assembly since taking office on January 14, 2020,[1] at which time he was the state's youngest legislator in the Assembly.[2]

New Jersey Assembly

Before taking office in the Assembly, Moen served on the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders from 2016 to 2019, where he was one of the youngest people elected to serve as freeholder.[1] Moen resigned from his position as freeholder in March 2019 in order to focus on his run for Assembly and was replaced by Melinda Kane.[3]

Personal life

Raised in Runnemede, Moen later moved to Camden[4] and currently lives in Bellmawr.[5] He is of Irish decent.[5]

Moen is a 2005 graduate of Triton Regional High School.[6] He earned his BA from Rowan University and his MPA from University of Pennsylvania.[1]
