This article lists the winners and nominees for the Billboard Music Award for Top New Artist. From 2000 to 2004, the Billboard Music Award for New Artist of the Year was categorized into Billboard Music Award for Male New Artist of the Year and Billboard Music Award for Female New Artist of the Year.
Zayn Malik is the only artist to have received the award twice, winning in 2013 as a member of One Direction and again in 2017 as a solo artist.
