Blues for a Hip King

Blues for a Hip King is a jazz compilation album by South African artist Abdullah Ibrahim, released in October 1989.[1] The recordings are from several sessions in 1974, 1976 and 1979. The album was first released under the name Dollar Brand, and its title refers to King Sobhuza II of Swaziland, to whom the track "Blues for a Hip King" was dedicated.[2]
