Bob Bicknell (cyclist)

Bicknell originally raced on grass^[3] before joining the Coventry Road Club.^[4] He was a draughtsman by profession.^[1]

In 1968, he was a half-mile national champion^[5] and represented England at international level and the Midlands at county level.^[6] He was runner-up behind Roger Whitfield at the 1969 British National Individual Sprint Championships^[7] and runner-up with Fred Booker at the British National Tandem Sprint Championships, behind Pete Mugglestone and Tony Brockhurst.^[8]

Bicknell represented the England team^[9] at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Scotland,^[10][11] where he participated in the match sprint event.
