Graduate from Reseda High School Summer Class of 1967. Bob played football, Tight End, for Reseda High Schools 1966 undefeated West Valley League Championship Football Team and was nominated to the Helms Athletic Foundation West Valley League Football first team. Bob was also nominated to the Helms Athletic Foundation All Los Angeles City Football first team. After high school, Christiansen played football for the UCLA Bruins, a three year letterman, as a tight end and wide receiver. During the 1971 season, he was named to the All-Conference First-team.
Upon graduating from UCLA, Christiansen went on to a career in professional football. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams (NFL) 1972, 5th round (125) overall pick. On the roster for the Buffalo Bills (NFL) in 1972, number 83, playing in 4 games. Signed with the Green Bay Packers in 1973 then played for the Portland Storm/Thunder (WFL) in 1974 & 1975 number 89. Bob played in 18 games in 1974 with 13 receptions for 157 yards, 2 TD's and two scrimmage plays (Action Points) worth 1 point each. He played in 11 games in 1975 with 29 receptions for 456 yards, 5 TD's and one Action Point. As a free agent Bob signed with the Washington Redskins (NFL) in 1976.
After leaving professional football, Christiansen spent 28 years in the field of education. He began working as a geography and history teacher at a private school in Southern California where he was the dean of boys. Bob was a teacher, varsity football coach, athletic director, assistant Principal and principal at Del Oro High School in Loomis, California. He retired from Del Oro High School in 2009. Principal Bob Christiansen had deep roots at Del Oro High School. Bob helped lead the Golden Eagles to many winning seasons. He has taken on the task of guiding the school and its students into the 21st century. Bob Christiansen and co-coach John Fletcher (16 years of coaching together at Del Oro High School) had the football field named in their behalf in 2019. Bob was inducted into the Del Oro High School Hall of Fame in 2011. In 2014, he was elected as the Loomis Lions Club President. | CollegeHOF = }}
Robert Scott Christiansen (born May 8, 1949) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the Buffalo Bills in 1972.
For the 1971 season playing college football for the UCLA Bruins, he was named to the all-conference first-team. He played for Reseda High School.[1]
