Bolba is located at 22°25′53″N 84°20′42″E / 22.4313°N 84.3449°E / 22.4313; 84.3449

In the area presented in the map alongside, "the landscape is formed of hills and undulating plateau" in the south-western part of the Chota Nagpur Plateau.
