Junior Pan American Games appearances (overview)

Brazil competed in the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay from 9 to 23 August 2025.[1]

The flag bearers at the opening ceremony were skateboarder Filipe Mota and badminton player Juliana Viana.[2] Meanwhile, weightlifter Matheus Pessanha and canoeist Lorrane Santos were the country's flagbearers during the closing ceremony.[3]

With a record number of medals at the end of the Junior Pan American Games, Brazil led the overall table with 175 medals, surpassing the Cali-Valle 2021 record with 70 gold medals, 50 silver medals and 55 bronze medals, also surpassing the record for gold medals, the number of direct spots per athlete and spots per sport for the 2027 Pan American Games.[4]

Athletics

Brazil qualified a full team of 53 athletes (30 men and 23 women) either by passing the direct qualifying mark (or time for track and road races) or by world ranking in the following events (a maximum of two athletes each).[9] On June 2, 2025, the Brazilian Athletics Confederation announced the main team of track and field athletes.[10]
