History

Brvenica is attested in the 1467/68 Ottoman tax registry (defter) for the Nahiyah of Kalkandelen. The village had a total of 100 Christian households, three bachelors and three widows.[1][2][3]

In statistics gathered by Vasil Kanchov in 1900, the village of Brvenica was inhabited by 105 Christian Macedonians (By Vasil they were classified as bulgarians).[4]
