Brzeg railway station is a station in Brzeg, Opole Voivodeship, Poland. The station is part of the Third Pan-European Corridor, linking Dresden - Wrocław - Kraków - Kyiv.[1]
In the years 2009–2010, the railway infrastructure of the station and a 4 km stretch of the adjoining lines was redeveloped. The investment totaled 154 million Polish złoty. The modernisation was completed on 12 January 2012.[2][3] Both the interior and the exterior of the station itself were thoroughly renovated, at a cost of 4.2 million Polish złoty. The reopening of the railway station was celebrated on 9 February 2012.[4][5]
