Warren "Bud" Lathrop (April 22, 1936 – July 12, 2018) was an American high school basketball coach in Missouri.[1] With 955 wins,[2] he ranked seventh in total wins in the history of high school boys basketball in the United States at the time of his retirement.[3]
Lathrop attended Raytown Senior High School where he graduated in 1954. He attended William Jewell College from 1954 to 1959 and lettered in both cross country and basketball. He won three MCAU Championship and left the team as its all-time leader in scoring with 1709 points.[4] He graduated in 1958[5] with a coaching and teaching degree.[6] In 2001 he was inducted into the school's hall of fame.[4]
