News agency in Myanmar
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
CJ Platform [2](Burmese: စီဂျေပလက်ဖောင်း; is a news agency based in Myanmar (Burma). It is among the few independent news outlets in Myanmar.
It is an independent media outlet that appeared after the 2021 Myanmar coup d'état. It was founded on March 5, 2021, to counter the suppression of information and news blackouts imposed by the military junta.
The organization was established not only as a news outlet but also as a training hub to provide media and journalism education for local citizen journalists (CJs) working on the ground.[3] [4]
Operating under the slogan "We Are Freedom and Voices," the agency utilizes a network of anonymous volunteers and professional journalists across Myanmar to document human rights violations, armed conflict, and environmental issues.[5]
CJ Platform broadcasts daily news based on professional editorial policies. It emphasizes timely reporting from conflict zones and rural areas, often providing content that is featured by international broadcasters such as the BBC Burmese.[6] [7]
