Carlos Ponce is the eponymous debut studio album recorded by the Puerto Rican-American entertainer, singer-songwriter and actor Carlos Ponce, The album witch released by EMI Latin on June 2, 1998 (see 1998 in music). The album witch produced by Emilio Estefan, Jr., Kike Santander, Randall M. Barlow, Pablo Flores, Freddy Piñeiro, Jr., José Miguel Velásquez and Juan Vicente Zambrano.[2] The album was promoted by its lead singles "Rezo" and "Decir Adios", both of which topped the Hot Latin Tracks and Latin Pop Airplay charts in the United States.[3][4] At the 1999 Billboard Latin Music Awards, it won Pop Album by a New Artist and was nominated for Pop Album of the Year by a Male Artist, but lost to Vuelve (1998) by Ricky Martin.[5]
