Carmine Recano (Italian pronunciation: [ˈkarmine reˈkaːno]; born 28 November 1980) is an Italian actor. He is best known for playing Commander Massimo Esposito in the teen drama television series The Sea Beyond (2020–2023).

Recano was born in Naples and raised in the district of Secondigliano.[1] His father was a baker and his mother was a homemaker.[2] He began acting by chance after accompanying a friend to an audition at the age of 17.[3][4]

He married Donatella Tipaldi in 2024. They have two children.[5]
