St. Aloysius Church in Carthagena

Carthagena (/ˌkɑːrθəˈnə/ KAR-thə-JEE-nə[1]) is an unincorporated community in Mercer County, Ohio, United States.[2] Established by African Americans, it was home to an agricultural and industrial boarding school for African American and Indian orphans. It is located at 40°26′12″N 84°33′36″W / 40.43667°N 84.56000°W / 40.43667; -84.56000 and has an elevation of 909 feet (277 m).[2]
