Articles relating to the Oxyaenidae, a family of extinct carnivorous placental mammals. Traditionally classified in order Creodonta, this group is now classified in its own order Oxyaenodonta ("sharp tooth hyenas") within mirorder Ferae. The group contains four subfamilies comprising fourteen genera.
