Category:Taxonbars of monotypic genera missing species on Wikidata
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a maintenance tracking category for {{Taxonbar}} templates on monotypic genus pages which are missing their monotypic species. This can be for several reasons:
- the genus's taxonomic type (P427) Wikidata item is not specified as an instance of (P31) monotypic taxon (Q310890) nor monotypic fossil taxon (Q47487597), and should be labeled as such
- the genus's taxonomic type (P427) Wikidata item is wrong, and needs to be corrected
- the genus was mis-labeled as monotypic, and should be un-labeled as such
- the genus does not specify a taxonomic type (P427) at all, which should be added (listed under
*)
This is a tracking category.
It is used to build and maintain a list or lists of pages—primarily for the sake of the lists themselves and their use in article and category maintenance. It is not part of the encyclopedia's categorization scheme.
More information:
- This category is hidden on its member pages—unless the corresponding user preference (Appearance → Show hidden categories) is set.
- These categories are used to track, build and organize lists of pages needing "attention en masse" (for example, pages using deprecated syntax), or that may need to be edited at someone's earliest convenience.
- These categories also serve to aggregate members of several lists or subcategories into a larger, more efficient list (discriminated by classifications).
- Typically, tracking categories are automatically populated by templates invoked in pages or by the MediaWiki software (see Special:TrackingCategories for an overview of the latter).
Administrators: Please do not delete this category as empty!
This category may be empty occasionally or even most of the time.In each case, the monotypic status of both the genus and the species should be verified.
Specifying the appropriate monotypic species via |from2=QID will not remove this category; the change must be made on Wikidata. This prevents the "hiding" of the above errors. If Wikidata is properly organized, the monotypic species will automatically be added to the {{Taxonbar}}, and the genus page will be added to Category:Taxonbars with automatically added monotypic species.
Pages in this category should only be added by Module:Taxonbar.
