Rich businessman Sanjay returns home one night to find that his wife, Siri, has been murdered and that cash and jewelry have been stolen from the house. Police inspector Satya is assigned to investigate the case. Initially, Satya suspects Sanjay's housekeeper, Lakshimi, believing that she and her husband, Ramu, murdered Siri while robbing the house. However, forensic evidence indicates that the murder was exceptionally brutal, suggesting that it was premeditated and that the robbery was staged to mislead the investigation. Satya's suspicion then shifts to Sanjay after Siri's phone records reveal that she regularly had lengthy conversations with Sharath, Sanjay's close friend and business partner. Satya suspects that Siri and Sharath were having an affair and that Sanjay killed Siri after discovering it.

Satya places Sanjay under surveillance while he temporarily stays at Sharath's house, as the police have sealed his own residence during the investigation. When questioned, Sharath denies having an affair with Siri and insists that he regarded her as his own sister.

Sanjay later tells police that suspects a gangster named Ravi. Some time earlier, Ravi had attempted to harass Siri on the street before Sanjay fought him off. The police visit Ravi's house, only to discover that he has also been murdered. During their search, they recover the weapon used to kill Siri—a paper cutter—bearing Siri's blood and Sanjay's fingerprints. Sanjay is immediately arrested.

While being transported to the police station, Sanjay insists that he has been framed and refuses to admit any involvement. When the police show him the murder weapon, he claims that he possesses evidence proving his innocence. He subsequently escapes from the police vehicle.

The police head to Sharath's office in search of Sanjay, only to find that Sharath has just been murdered. Meanwhile, Sanjay returns to Sharath's house to retrieve his phone, which contains evidence that could clear his name. There, he is attacked by his manager, Malik. Shilpa, one of Sanjay's employees, intervenes and saves him. Together, Sanjay and Shilpa overpower Malik and are about to kill him when the police arrive and stop them. All three are arrested.

During the interrogation, Sanjay presents the evidence stored on his phone. Secret CCTV footage from his office shows Malik stealing the paper cutter that Sanjay regularly used, proving that Malik planted the murder weapon to frame him. The phone also provides access to cloud-stored CCTV footage showing Shilpa and Malik murdering Sharath. Faced with the evidence, Shilpa and Malik confess:

Shilpa has long been in love with Sanjay despite knowing that he is married. She believes that Sanjay shares her feelings but remains trapped in his marriage. She conspires with Malik to kill Siri, promising to finance Malik's dream of starting his own business once she takes Siri's place in Sanjay's life. Malik hires Ravi to carry out the murder. Unknown to Shilpa, however, Malik steals Sanjay's paper cutter and uses it to kill Siri, intending to frame Sanjay so that he can eventually have Shilpa for himself. After learning that the police are closing in on Ravi, Shilpa and Malik murder him to silence him. Later, after Sanjay sends Sharath the secret CCTV footage showing Malik stealing the paper cutter, the pair also kill Sharath. Knowing that Sanjay's phone contains cloud access to the CCTV recordings, Malik later attacks Sanjay in an attempt to delete the evidence, but Shilpa intervenes before the police arrive and arrest them.

Three months later, Sanjay receives the life insurance payouts for both Siri and Sharath. It is then revealed that he was the true mastermind behind the entire conspiracy despite never directly participating in the murders. He had married Siri for her ancestral property, but after she decided to donate it to charity, he became determined to get rid of her so that he can have the property. Upon realizing that Shilpa had fallen in love with him, Sanjay deliberately encouraged her feelings by pretending that he reciprocated them but was trapped in an unhappy marriage, manipulating her into planning Siri's murder.

Shortly afterward, Sanjay is assassinated by a hired killer. The killer is revealed to have been employed by Satya, who, lacking sufficient evidence to prosecute Sanjay, chooses to exact justice outside the law.
