Plot
Chand Mera Dil follows Aarav and Chandni, engineering classmates who fall in love during college. Their relationship takes a serious turn when Chandni becomes pregnant unexpectedly. The couple chooses to keep the baby and build a family together, putting their individual dreams on hold.
As they navigate young parenthood, tensions rise between them. Chandni secures a well-paying job, while Aarav settles for a position at an IT startup. The strain culminates in a heated argument during which Aarav physically strikes Chandni. Unwilling to tolerate the abuse, Chandni divorces him.
The former couple shifts into an awkward co-parenting arrangement for their daughter, Kavya. While Aarav seeks forgiveness, Chandni begins a new relationship with her colleague Kevin. When she announces plans to marry Kevin, a remorseful Aarav decides to step aside and pursue higher studies in the United States. He interrupts Chandni’s engagement ceremony to inform her of his plans and emphasize maintaining a strong bond with their daughter.
Aarav gradually rebuilds his life abroad while keeping in virtual contact with Kavya and Chandni. Years later, he returns to India for a college reunion and is surprised to encounter Chandni there. In an emotional confrontation at their old hostel room—where their romance first blossomed—Chandni reveals she still loves him and had ended her engagement with Kevin on the day of the ceremony itself, wanting Aarav to fulfill his dreams first. The two reconcile and choose to give their relationship another chance. [6]
