Charles Buddie Mullins is an American chemical engineer, currently the Melvin H. Gertz Regents Chair Professor at the University of Texas at Austin,[1][2][3] where he leads a research group[4] focused on meterials chemistry for energy.

Mullins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from the University of Texas at Austin in 1975 and a Master of Science in engineering from the same institution in 1977.[5] He subsequently completed a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1982.[5]

He pursued graduate study in chemical engineering at the California Institute of Technology, where he received his Ph.D. in chemical engineering in 1990.[5][6]
