Charles Coates (18 April 1912 – 1991) was an English footballer who made 46 appearances in the Football League playing as a left-sided forward for Darlington in the 1930s.[2] He also played non-league football in the north east of England, for Hamsteels, Spennymoor United and Horden Colliery Welfare.
