Chiconquiaco is a municipality in the Mexican state of Veracruz. It is located in the Sierra de Chiconquiaco in the middle of the State of Veracruz. It has a surface of 68.27 km2. It is located at 19°45′N 96°49′W / 19.750°N 96.817°W / 19.750; -96.817.

As of 2020, the municipality had a population of 13,881 inhabitants in 52 localities.[1] About 3,500 inhabitants reside in the municipal seat. Other localities include El Huérfano (1,694 hab.), El Capulín (937 hab.), La Sombra (901 hab.) and Las Paredes (694 hab.).[1]

Economy

It produces principally maize, beans and coffee.

Culture

In Chiconquiaco, in June takes place the celebration in honor to San Pedro and San Pablo Patrons of the place.
