Chilomonas

Genus of single-celled organisms From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chilomonas is a genus of freshwater cryptophytes, including the species Chilomonas paramecium.[2] Memebers of this genus are osmotrophic heterotrophs possessing leucoplasts but not pigmented plastids.[3] The periplastidial compartment contains multiple nucleomorphs.[3]
