Clint Joseph Sammons (born May 15, 1983) is an American former professional baseball catcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves from 2007 to 2009.
A native of Lilburn, Georgia, Sammons attended Parkview High School, and was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 43rd round of the 2001 MLB draft. He did not sign with them however, and instead played college baseball at the University of Georgia, where he was starting catcher. In 2003, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League and was named a league all-star.[1][2][3] He was selected by the Braves in the 6th round of the 2004 MLB draft and eventually signed with the Braves.
