Early life and education
Storrie was born on February 22, 2000, in Colorado,[1] and was raised in Odessa, Texas.[2] During his childhood, he trained in gymnastics, where he was a competitive tumbler.[2] Storrie attended a performing arts school after developing an early interest in acting.[3][2] Before the 2008 financial crisis, both of his parents worked in the mortgage industry.[2]
As a teenager, his family moved near Ventura, California, in the Los Angeles area.[2] He spent his junior year of high school studying abroad in France, where he became proficient in French.[4][2] Storrie later pursued acting professionally while working as a restaurant server. He took improv classes with The Groundlings in Los Angeles.[2]
Career
Storrie began his acting career in 2018, appearing in short films and minor roles.[5][6] He played Liam Hauser in the 2023 feature film Riley.[7] In 2024, he appeared in the DC Comics film Joker: Folie à Deux as an Arkham Asylum inmate who kills Arthur Fleck, with the film implying that his character becomes the Joker.[8][9] Storrie stated in interviews that he was required to keep his role and involvement a secret for nearly two years before the film's release.[10] Following Joker: Folie a Deux, Storrie continued to work as a waiter while auditioning.[2] He also began to study clown after seeing a show by Natalie Palamides and Courtney Pauroso.[9] Storrie attributed his ability to respond to audiences and manage uncomfortable acting situations to the discipline of clown.[9]
In 2025, Storrie was cast as Ilya Rozanov in the Canadian sports romance television series Heated Rivalry, based on the Game Changers novel series by Rachel Reid.[11][12] In preparation for the role, Storrie studied the Russian language and developed a Russian accent for his English-language dialogue.[13] His performance received critical praise and brought him international recognition, with several publications describing it as a breakout role.[3][14] Storrie reunited with his Heated Rivalry co-star, Hudson Williams, in the romance fantasy audio series Ember & Ice, produced for the audio platform Quinn, voicing the character Dane.[15] The series' three episodes were released between December 30, 2025, and January 5, 2026.[16]
In January 2026, Storrie signed with Creative Artists Agency for representation.[17] On January 25, Storrie and Williams were torchbearers in the 2026 Winter Olympics torch relay in Feltre, Italy.[18] Storrie hosted Saturday Night Live on February 28.[19] One of the sketches featured an injured stripper performing at a bachelorette party, which was a character he had created during his time in improv and clowning.[20][21]
Personal life
Storrie has not publicly commented on his sexuality or relationship status.[22] He and his Heated Rivalry co-star Hudson Williams got matching "Sex Sells" tattoos to commemorate their work together.[23]
Storrie makes rhythmic noise music using Ableton.[9] To Vulture, Storrie described his hobbies as "making music or [...] doing clown."[9]
