Crown Prince Sunhoe (Korean: 순회세자; Hanja: 順懷世子; 1 July 1551 – 6 October 1563), born Yi Bu, or Lee Bu (이부; 李暊) was crown prince of Joseon and the only son of Myeongjong of Joseon and Queen Insun.
The prince was born on 1 July 1551 to Queen Insun and King Myeongjong as their only son. In his childhood, he was named Gon-ryeong (곤령; 崐齡) but was eventually given his birth name Yi Bu.
In 1557, Yi Bu at 6 years old was chosen to be a Crown Prince and later, in 1561 (16th year reign of his father), Yun Ok (윤옥)'s daughter was chosen to be his wife and Crown Princess Consort (왕세자빈).
On 29 September in the same year, his father, King Myeongjong even ordered a major pardon when the prince fell ill. However, he died not long after that at 12 years old in 1563; his wife outlived him by 29 years.
His tomb is located in Sunchangwon in Seooreung 334-32, Seooreung-ro, Deogyang District, Goyang, South Korea[2][3] and was buried along with his wife, Crown Princess Yun, but her body was lost during the Imjin War Period.
