Cryptops (from Ancient Greek κρυπτός (kruptós), meaning "hidden", and ὄψ (óps), meaning "face"), sometimes known as cave centipedes,[2] is a centipede genus in the family Cryptopidae; species records have a world-wide distribution.[3]
