CypressTel is a private telecommunications company based in Hong Kong, founded in 2008, that provides software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) and secure access service edge (SASE) services.[1][2]

History
CypressTel was founded in 2008 and received a telecommunications operator license in Hong Kong the same year. In 2016, it was recognized as a National High-tech Enterprise in China and began developing SDN and NFV products. In 2019, it passed the CAICT “SD-WAN Ready” certification.[3][4] In 2021, it contributed to the white paper SD-WAN Global Technology and Industry Development.[5][6] In July 2022, Digital Realty and CypressTel announced a partnership to provide interconnectivity solutions in China.[7][8][9] The company was also listed in iResearch's China SDN Industry Chain and Industry Map report. In 2024, it contributed to the industry standard Key Technical Indicator System for Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN).[10][11]
Recogination
In 2023, the company received the Most Valuable SD-WAN & SASE Brand Award at the 6th SD-WAN & SASE Conference in China. It later won awards at the W.Media Asia Pacific Cloud & Datacenter Awards in 2024 and the Juniper Research Future Digital Awards in 2025.[12][13] In 2025, it was also recognized as the Guangdong Provincial Cybersecurity Intelligent Computing Engineering Technology Research Center.[14][15]
