The original Covent Garden cast included William Powell as Cyrus the Great, William Smith as Cambyses, Robert Bensley as Mithrades, Thomas Hull as Harpagus, Mary Ann Yates as Mandane of Media and Isabella Mattocks as Aspasia.[3]
