Dane Paresi

Dane Clark Paresi (October 22, 1963 – December 30, 2009) was a United States Army Master Sergeant and military contractor for the Central Intelligence Agency. He was killed in a suicide bombing while working for Xe Services (formerly Blackwater) at a CIA base in Khost, Afghanistan.

Paresi, the son of a Vietnam War veteran, was born at Seattle's Fort Lawton.[1] He was raised mostly in Portland, Oregon.[1] He graduated from Marshall High School in Portland in 1982. Two days after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, beginning his military career at Fort Dix, New Jersey.[2]
