Daniel Johnston (born 1947) is an American neuroscientist who currently serves as professor emeritus in the Department of Neuroscience within The University of Texas at Austin College of Natural Sciences.[1][2]
Johnston graduated cum laude from the University of Virginia in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He completed a PhD in biomedical engineering and physiology at Duke University, followed by postdoctoral training in cellular neurophysiology at the University of Minnesota.[2]
