Daniel Leslie Wakelin, (/ˈweɪklɪn/, born 31 January 1977),[1] is a British palaeographer. He is the Jeremy Griffiths Professor of Medieval English Palaeography in the University of Oxford and a fellow of St Hilda's College.[2]
Wakelin graduated from the Trinity Hall, Cambridge with a PhD in mediaeval palaeography. Previously he worked at the St Catharine's College, Cambridge and the Christ's College, Cambridge.[2] He is a specialist in Mediaeval English literature and its circulation and reception in manuscripts and other material texts,[3] and teaching course in English language and literature 650–1550 in the University of Oxford.[4] He also is a 2015 winner of the DeLong Book History Prize.[2]
