Dave Abels

Dave Abels is an American attorney based in Chicago, Illinois. He is founding partner at Abels & Annes, P.C.

Following the Indian Ocean tsunami, Abels traveled to Thailand to search for his missing brother who was among the victims of the disaster,[1][2] getting interviewed by Anderson Cooper.[3] His brother's body was eventually found six weeks later in Krabi, Thailand.[4]

Since 2011, he has represented a number of victims abused by a pedophile priest in lawsuits against the Chicago Archdiocese.[5] In one case, Abels represented a victim who was abused between the 5th and 7th grades, recovering $3.2 million.[6] The firm's office is located on LaSalle Street.[7]
