David Fitzgerald Tate (born November 22, 1964) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL) for the Chicago Bears (1988–1992), the New York Giants (1993) and the Indianapolis Colts (1994–1997).[2] He played college football for the Colorado Buffaloes and was selected in the eighth round of the 1988 NFL draft.[3][4]
