Deadly Encounter is a 1982 American television movie directed by William Graham[1].

An ex-combat helicopter pilot helps a widowed ex-girlfriend find the black book her husband kept from mobsters.

Production

During filming in Mexico, a helicopter used on the production crashed, killing three people and seriously injuring a fourth. Susan Anspach claimed production had been unsafe.[2] Other titles for the film were American Eagle and Bird of Prey. The film took a long time to be screened.[3]
