Demetrius Taylor

Demetrius Latron Taylor (born May 27, 1999) is an American football defensive tackle for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Appalachian State.

Detroit Lions
Taylor signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2022, following the 2022 NFL draft.[4] He made the Lions' final 53-man roster out of training camp.[5] He was waived on October 27, 2022, and re-signed to the practice squad.[6] He signed a reserve/future contract on January 9, 2023.[7] He was released on May 10, 2023.[8] Taylor was suspended for the entire 2023 NFL season due to violating the league's gambling policy.[9]
On April 18, 2024, Taylor was reinstated by the NFL.[10]
BC Lions (first stint)
On May 28, 2024, Taylor was signed by the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League.[11] He was released on June 2, 2024.[12]
Birmingham Stallions
On July 23, 2024, Taylor signed with the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League (UFL).[13] He was released on March 20, 2025.[14]
BC Lions (second stint)
On April 22, 2025, Taylor re-signed with the Lions.[15] On May 11, 2025, Taylor was suspended by the CFL for the entire 2025 CFL season.[16]
