Overview

For the 2023-24 school year Desert Ridge High School received an "A" school grade from the Arizona Department of Education.[2]

In 2025, yearbook advisor Jeanette Lockwood was honored with a Rising Star Award from The Journalism Education Association for her dedication to scholastic journalism and media advising at Desert Ridge High and Desert Ridge Junior High.[3]
