Devanand Konwar (1934[citation needed] – 25 April 2020) was a senior congressman from Assam who served as the governor of the Indian states of Tripura, Bihar and West Bengal and MLA of Thowra constituency from 1991 to 2006, after defeated by Independent candidate Kushal Dowari
