Devin Scott is an American filmmaker who directed the films The $5 Movie (2001), Libertyville (2021), and created the films Long Live Xander the Great (2024), Aunt Cindy and the Alchemist (2024), and The Craftsman (2026).

Personal life

Scott graduated from San Diego State University in 1990.[1] He is married to Jeanne Scott, a veteran in the United States Army[2] and a producer on his films.[3] They live in Spring Valley, San Diego County, California.[4] Scott is the great nephew of Jean Landis.[5]

Career

Scott co-owns American Dream Cinema with is wife.[6][7] In 2001, his film The $5 Movie screened at Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films.[3] The following year, he was a guest on Creative Cafe on KOCT.[8] Scott was named San Diego Filmmaker of the Year in 2004[9] and his film Long Live Xander the Great, narrated by Jordan Jacobo,[6] premiered at the GI Film Festival San Diego in 2024.[2] In 2025, his film Aunt Cindy and the Alchemist screened at the Coronado Island Film Festival.[10] Scott's film The Craftsman will premiere in 2026.[1]
