Diana Chire is a Los Angeles-based Somali artist and director who first received national attention when she presented herself nude in her exhibit at the 2015 Frieze Art Fair in London.[1][2][3][4] Her art themes feature gender, sexuality and the nature of racial identity.[5] Her work has been featured in galleries from New York to Berlin and profiled in “W magazine”, “I-D” and “Dazed and Confused”. Her own publication, “She-Zine” features cutting-edge contributions from leading female artists. Her film ‘A Living Sculpture’ was shot in London, Pinewood Studios and is currently making rounds on the festival circuit. Diana's work dissects female sexuality and racial identity in a raw and unflinching way that refuses to apologize for its existence.
