Dilshad Muhammad Amin Fatah (March 28, 1947 – March 13, 1989), better known by his pen name "Dilshad Meriwani", was a Kurdish poet, playwright, actor, critic, essayist, teacher and a translator who was executed by the Iraqi government during the Saddam Hussein era on March 13, 1989, for teaching the Kurdish Latin alphabet to his students.[1]
