Dina Patel

Dina Rohinton Patel is a Pakistani racing driver from Karachi who competes primarily in off-road rallying and has also competed in drifting.[1]

Early life

Patel comes from a family involved in motorsport. Her father, Ronnie Patel, and mother, Tushna Patel, have both participated in rallying. Patel was 18 when she competed in the sixth Thal Jeep Rally, the youngest competitor in the event.[2]

Racing career

Patel competed in the sixth Thal Jeep Rally in 2021, finishing third in the women's category.[2] In early 2022, Patel won the women's stock category of the Thar Desert Rally.[3] During qualifying for the 2022 Cholistan Jeep Rally, Patel placed second among the women.[4] She later finished third in the women's event at the Second Off-Road Challenge Jeep Rally in Dera Ismail Khan.[5] In January 2023, Patel competed in the Thar Flood Relief Jeep Rally in Mithi, where she qualified for the final round.[6] Two months later, she won the women's category of the 10th Hub Rally Cross in Balochistan.[7][8] At the ninth Thal Jeep Rally in November 2024, Patel recorded the fastest women's qualifying time of one minute and 51 seconds.[9][10] Patel competed in the 20th International Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally in February 2025. In qualifying, she and Salma Marwat recorded identical times of one minute and 24 seconds in the women's category.[11] [12] At the 10th Thal Jeep Rally in November 2025, Patel recorded one minute and 58 seconds in Women's Prepared qualifying, one second behind Salma Khan.[13] In the final women's competition Salma Khan Marwat in first place and Patel in second.[14]

Drifting

Patel later began competing in drifting. In 2025 she participated in a drifting event in Islamabad.[1]
