Djibloho comprises two urban districts, Ciudad de la Paz and Mbere.[5] The capital is Ciudad de la Paz ("City of Peace"),[7] known as Oyala until 2017.[8] In the 2017 national parliamentary election, Djibloho elected one senator and one deputy.[9]
Djibloho's first governor, Marcelino Oluy Abeso, was appointed in 2018[10] and served until 18 August 2020, when he died in a car crash.[11] He was succeeded by Marcelo Castro Ngua Nkulu.[12]
