Dolné Plachtince (Hungarian: Alsópalojta) is a village and municipality in the Veľký Krtíš District of the Banská Bystrica Region of southern Slovakia.

Geography
The municipality lies at an altitude of 203 metres (666 ft)[2] and covers an area of 9.88 km2 (3.81 sq mi) (2025).[4]
History
In historical records, the village was first mentioned in 1337 (Palahta Inferior). It belonged to nobles Dacsoy, Lukay and Simonfy. In 1776 it passed to ecclesiastical Rožňava’s Capitol.
